Lida Ward

Mrs. Lida Liles Ward age 85 of Petros, TN, born February 12, 1925, passed away, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Life Care Center of Morgan County surrounded by her family.
She was a member of the Petros Baptist Church and a 50 year member, and Past Worthy Matron of Sunrise OES No. 364 in Petros.
During the 50's and 60's she operated the Petros Cafe, a family owned business. She retired from the State of Tennessee working previously at Lake Shore Mental Health Hospital in Knoxville and the Morgan County Regional Correctional Facility in Wartburg. Before becoming disabled she loved to play Bingo.

She was preceded in death by husband; Basil Ward, parents, Lincoln and Willie Mae McCoy Liles, brother, June Bug Liles, sisters; Koleda (Newt) Silvey, Anna Mae (TJ) Tucker, son-in-law, Kenneth Harris, daughter-in-law, Sheena Ward, mother and father-in-law, H.B. and Ora Ward.

Mrs. Ward is survived by son; Darrell Ward,
Daughters; Patricia Harris and Alice Dagley all of Petros.
Grandchildren; Wayne (Carmen) Ward of Wartburg, Kendall (Teresa) Harris of Maryville, Tonya (Chuck) Freels and Tony (Crystal) Dagley of Petros.
Eleven great-grandchildren; Matthew, Jacob, Madison, Sarah, Zachary, Mark Anthony, Isaac, Mackenzie, Lyndsay, Chad and Darrell.
Sister; Betty (B.J.) Wright, sisters-in-law Inela Phillips, Lula Seiber and Shelby (Baxter) Trail.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 11, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.

Eastern Star Service and Funeral Service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with
Rev. Don Long and Rev. Jim West officiating.
Graveside service will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the Petros Cemetery,
Petros, TN.Serving as Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandson.
