Mr. Leonard James "Buddy" McKinney, age 83 of Mossy Grove, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by parents, Allen and Nellie Pittman McKinney; sisters, Violet Bunch, Lana Shannon and Lila Henry; brother, Lawrence McKinney.

Mr. McKinney is survived by wife of 55 years, Patricia (Patsy) Wicks McKinney; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Denise McKinney of Kingston; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Wilburn (Doug) Lamance, Angie and James Pollard, all of Wartburg; grandchildren, Megan Elise Lamance, Morgan Brett and husband, Moustafa Salem of Port Said, Egypt, Katelyn Teresa Ann Lamance, Kalah Nashae Pollard; sisters, Reba L. Wilson, Betty McKinney, Carol (Tom) Henry, Judy (Jr.) Miller, all of Wartburg; brothers, Clayton "Jobe" (Doris) McKinney of Waco, Texas, Max (Mary) McKinney of Rockwood; uncle, Verdin David (Louise) McKinney of Rockwood; sisters-in-law, Karen Redmon and Nancy Taylor, both of Florida, Teresa and Terry Greene of Wartburg; brothers-in-law, Teddy and Jennifer Wicks, of Florida, Benny Wicks of Pollack, Louisiana.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Liberty Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Bro. Paul Frick officiating. Graveside will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Wartburg City Cemetery. Schubert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
