L. Ledford

L. H. Ledford age 78 of Wartburg passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center. He was the son of F.A. Ledford and Dorothy May Sweat. He was of the Baptist Faith and his words were "It's all up to the Man Above". L.H. grew up in Lancing and attended Central High School "Class of 56". He moved to Joliet Illinois and worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for 30 Years, retiring back to Tennessee. He enjoyed retirement with his Mom until her death. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing. He and Gus Vespie Jr. had many good laughs on Watts Bar Lake. He was also a Nascar Fan and loved gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Truman Ledford, Nephews: Terry (Wimpy) Ledford, Randall Oney and Willard Ledford

L.H. is survived by one son: Michael Ledford and wife Laura
Two Grandchildren: Mitchell Ledford of Lancing and Allyson Ledford of Nashville
Sisters: Christine Oney of Spring City and Betty Redmon and Husband Louis of Wartburg
Nieces: Amy Redmon Stafford (Larry), Sandra Langford (Jerry), Belinda Campbell (Gary) and Janet Bright
Nephews: Brad Redmon (Stephanie), Gary Ledford and Larry Ledford (Faye)
Special Great Nephews and Nieces that were like Grandchildren to him: Regan, Bryleigh, Rhonda, Jenny, Brendon, Avery and Michael
and cherished dog Pup

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00PM with Dr. Paul Frick officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00AM in the Morgan Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Gary Ledford, Brad Redmon, Jonathan Lindsay, Larry Stafford and Larry Ledford and also Honorary Pallbearers will be the High School class of 1956.
