After a long, hard and painful fight with her illnesses, Karen Wright was set free from that battle, and went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Our Sister, family member and friend was surrounded by many loved ones during her transition to that heavenly home. Karen may have lost the earthly battle against heartache and sorrow but she won the victory as she is now celebrating with her Lord and Savior. She has her mansion and is reunited with the loved ones gone on before her. Karen attended Annadel Missionary Baptist Church.

Immediate family members preceding her in death were her Mother- Ida Shepherd Aytes , sister- Crystal Watson Bunch, Brother- Coy Lynn Wright, grandparents- Millard and Virgie Shepherd, Coy and Ruth Wright.

Karen is survived by her 2 small children- Alizah also known as AJ and her son- Bristol, sister-Teresa Shepherd Shannon of Wartburg, Robert (Amy) Wright of Lake City (Rocky Top), Brian (Rita) Wright also of Wartburg, Father-Harlan Wright of Lake City(RockyTop), special aunts- Shirley Thomas of Wartburg, Margie Malicoat of Lafollette, Nephews: Jeremy, DJ, Zach Shannon, Tyler Wright, Dexter Watson, Nieces-Hayley, Katylynn, Christian, Hannah, Gracie, Rhonda, Chloe Wright, Nicole Bunch and several great nephews and a niece, also many cousins aunts and uncles from all areas mentioned above. Karen was also blessed to have special brother in laws-(in past and present) that loved and supported her, Kevin Robbins and Tony Shannon of Wartburg.

Karen was a loving soul.  She enjoyed and accepted life as it was a gift to have. She really loved and enjoyed her family times. Karen would help any person in any way she could.  She always smiled and gave a hug with the words attached “I love you” and she was always quick to say words like “I’m sorry” to anyone having a bad day in any way that she was around, She was just that type of loving caring human being.  She will be missed by many and she’ll never be forgotten by her family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday May, 11, 2018 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg, from 12-2, with the funeral to follow at 2 with Bro. Joey Aytes officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Mossy Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
