Karen Hamby

Karen Lynn Hamby, age 52 of Wartburg, TN went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 21, 2024 after a brave battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her father Luther “Luke” Hamby; paternal grandparents French and Mary Hamby; maternal grandparents Archie and Dorothy Armes.

She is survived by her daughter Brittany Hamby Peck and husband, Jason; grandsons Dakota and Brycen Peck who were her whole world.  Mother Sue Hamby; sisters Kim (David) Watson, Kandy (Steve) Hutchison; brother Dustin (Regina) Hamby, many wonderful nieces and nephews Cortney, Colton, Christen fiancé Colwyn, Tyler, Isaiah and girlfriend Danielle, Jeremiah, and Noah; lifetime best friend Missy Vespie.

Karen loved her family more than anything in this world and always put them first.  Karen was loved by many people and will be missed deeply.

A special “Thank you” to all her friends and colleagues at the United States Probation Office for whom she worked with for 26 years.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Wartburg.
