Juanita Smith

Mrs. Juanita Kreis Smith, age 92, of Lancing, passed away Saturday Morning, March 1, 2014, at the Life Care Center of Morgan County. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Wartburg. Retired nurse, Veteran of WWII, Juanita was the oldest Female Veteran in Morgan County.

She was preceded in death by her Husband John H. Smith and Daughter Pamela Smith, Parents Louis & Edith Bardill Kries, Brothers Johnny, Arnold & Clayton Kreis.

Surviving is Daughter: Jenny White & husband Rick of Lancing
Granddaughter: Tara Paterson of Tampa, FL
Grandson: Mark White & wife Nikki of Knoxville
Five Great Grandchildren: Patrick, Pamela, Paige, Isaiah & Payton
Brothers: M.C., Everett, Billy & wife Susie Kreis.

Also surviving are several Beloved nieces & nephews and other friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2, 5-7 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral services will be Monday 10 am St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor David Graves officiating. Internment with Military Honors will follow in the Wartburg City Cemetery
