J.R. Hunter, of Petros, TN

Herbert Hunter Jr. (JR) went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2017 at the home of his son & daughter in law in Wartburg, where he had resided for the last 5 months during the decline of his lengthy illness.

He is preceded by his father, Herbert Sr. and mother, Dorothy Hunter. The love of his life, his wife of 40 years Elaine Hunter, 5 sisters: Della Foster, Dolly Rutherford, Kathryn Wilson, Ada Moore and Gertrude Patterson and 2 brothers: Vernon Hunter and Frank Metcalf.

He is Survived by one brother, Don Hunter of Petros, 2 sons Chad and wife Audrey Hunter of Petros, Justin and wife Carey Hunter of Wartburg and 1 daughter Pascha and husband Tony Cathey of Petros. 4 grandchildren Anna and Cari Cathey of Petros, and Ethan and Krey Hunter of Wartburg and 2 special little ones Hunter and Haven Goodin of Coalfield. Host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Tony Cathey officiating. Interment to follow in the Petros Cemetery in Petros.
