Josie Potter

Josie Marie Potter of Wartburg, age 91 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 22,2011. Mrs. Potter was a born-again Christian and former Sunday School teacher at the Old Potters Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Gil and Leonia Potter, her beloved husband Virgil Potter, sisters, Bertie Potter, Amanda Davis, Flora Cates and Beatrice Taylor, brothers, Curtie, Dorsey, Charlie, Noah, Earnie, Homer and Clinton Potter .

Left behind to mourn her passing is her son Lowell and wife Brenda of Wartburg, daughters Dorothy and husband Ted Smith, Gleneva and husband Jerome Smith all of Lancing, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great- great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends, Monday, December 26, 2011 from 6 to 8:00p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:00a.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with Bro. Benji Blakney Officiating. Interment will follow at Potter's Chapel Cemetery.
