John Massey

John Cecil Massey, age 52, of Oakdale, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 29, 2016. He was born on January 26, 1964 in Danville, Kentucky. John was a member of Pine Orchard Baptist Church where he was very active in the AWANA program. He enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family.
John is preceded in death by his mother Ernestine Potter Massey, his grandparents Ernest and Laura Potter and his father-in-law Willard Helton
John is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Melinda Massey. His daughters Alesha Massey of Oakdale; Heather and her husband Robert DeVaney of Oliver Springs. Father Raymond Massey of Rockwood. Three loving sisters, Lesha, Linda, and Brenda. Mother-in-law Fayetta Helton of Oakdale. Along with many cherished nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Pine Orchard Baptist Church, Oakdale. The funeral will be Tuesday; 11 a.m. at Pine Orchard Baptist Church with Bro Ronnie Nickell and Bro. Danny Thomas officiating, interment will follow at the church cemetery.
