John A. Jones

John A. Jones, age 85 of Wartburg passed away February 27, 2025 at his home.

John A. was a truck driver. He loved gardening and working on his lawn. He was a member of the American Legion and Emerald Lodge No. 317. He served as a Sargent in the Army for several years. John A. will definitely be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clem and Johnnie Jones of Wartburg; siblings Elmer Jones and Emily Miller.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Francine Swint Jones; daughter Theresa Jones; sister Peggy Harvey of Jacksonville, FL.; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 2:00-4:00 with the funeral to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Bro. Buster Armes and Bro. Jim Disney officiating. Interment will follow in the Wartburg City Cemetery in Wartburg.
