Joey Brian Dyer was called home Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the age of 46. He was a member of Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Lancing. If there is anything Joey was known for it was his love for hunting and his love for his daughters. Joey loved the woods and was one of the finest hunters around. He not only loved hunting, but he enjoyed sharing what he knew with others as well. His love for the hunt was far surpassed by his love for his two daughter's, Jessika and Morgan. From coaching their ball teams to taking them hunting, Joey was involved in his girls' lives as much as a father could be. Joey will be missed by his family and many friends. It is hard to let go and especially hard to understand why the Lord has called Joey home. We are reminded of the following hymn: " Farther Along We'll Know All About It, Father Along We'll Understand Why, Cheer Up My Brother, Live In The Sunshine, We'll Understand It All By And By"
Joey is preceded in death by his Grandparents Sevier and Lois Webb and Albert and Mary Holder Dyer Huckaby
He is survived by: His two beloved daughters Jessika and husband Josh Gooding of Lancing; Morgan Dyer of Sunbright. Parents Joe and Betty Dyer of Sunbright; Brother Jeff Dyer and wife Michelle of Sunbright and niece Danielle; He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends for whom he is loved by very much. Viewing will be at the Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg on Sat Jan 5th 2013 from 6 to 8 pm with Funeral Services immediately following. Bro. Charles Webb Officiating. Graveside Services will be Sunday at 3:00PM in the Lane Cemetery in Lancing.
