Joel Lavender

Mrs. Joel Dean Lavender passed away peacefully into her Lord's arms on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in Deer Lodge, TN at the age of 74.
Dean was proceeded in death by her parents Oscar and Ida Beasley of Deer Lodge, TN; sister Leta Bishop of Sunbright, TN; and brother Walter Beasley of Spring Hill, TN.
Dean is survived by her husband of 46 years, Wilfred Lavender; daughter and son-in-law Karen and David Starr of Burrville, TN; daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Randy Gibson of Deer Lodge, TN; grandchildren Jeremy and Rachel Shoemaker of Crossville, TN; Andrew Gibson of Deer Lodge, TN; great grandchildren, Lyla Shoemaker and Jake Shoemaker of Crossville, TN; and several nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
Dean loved to paint, sew, quilt, crochet, and help people in any way she could. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially those sweet grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Sunbright First Baptist.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2016, at Schubert Funeral Home, Sunbright from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Rose Hermonat officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dean's life. Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00AM in the Pleasant Green Church Cemetery, Deer Lodge, TN. The family would like to thank Life Care Center of Morgan County, Quality Private Duty Care, and Quality Hospice for their special care during this difficult time.
