JoAnn Shannon of Sunbright, TN

Mrs. JoAnn (Sexton) Shannon age 75, went home to be with the Lord March 9, 2018 with her family by her side. She was a member of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church  which she loved with all her soul. She loved camping, spending time with family and she loved life. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ambers Shannon; parents, Hershel and Florida Sexton; grandson, Braxton Shannon; brother, Jerry Sexton; son-in-law, Rev. Mike Garrett.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Garrett, Rex Shannon, Thurman (Melissa) Shannon, Michelle (Doug) Trout, Sherman (Tina) Shannon and Robin Shannon; grandchildren, Adam Garrett, Danielle Rogers, Devin and Zade Shannon, Tyler Trout, Hillary Webb, Flynt Helton, Kaitlyn and John Hamby; great grandchildren, Camden, Noah, Evan, Myka, Addie, Garrett, Colson and baby Aubrie on the way; brothers, James (Sharon) Sexton, Junior (Sharon) Sexton, Judy Lyons, Janice Maples, Larry (Cathy) Sexton.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 12, 2018 at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Sunbright from 5-7:00 p.m. Funeral will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Sunbright at 11:00 a.m with Bro. Adam Garrett and Tyler Trout officiating. Interment to follow in the Sunbright Cemetery in Sunbright.
