Jimmy Harris, of Coalfield, TN

Jimmy Harris of Coalfield passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017. He was a member of the Petros Baptist Church and a deacon since 1965. He served in the US Army and enjoyed ballroom dancing, UT Sports, planting flowers and was famous for his biscuit making skills.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hattie Harris; brother, Carol Harris; sisters, Polly Trail and Mary Ramey

He is survived by his wife Sadie Harris; son, Tim (JoAnn) Harris; daughter Lisa (Larry) Pemberton; grandchildren, Tate Harris, Natalie Garrison, Josh (Mandi aka “Bull”) Pemberton; great grandchildren, Cody Garrison, Abigail Pemberton, Jared Harris and Knox Pemberton; brother, Burl Harris; sister, Peggy (Jean) Poole; sister in law, Maxine Harris.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 6:00 PM with Dr. Jim West officiating.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 9:30 AM in the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.
