Jimmie Northrup of Deer Lodge, TN

Jimmie Lee Northrup, 75, of Deer Lodge passed from this life into his eternal life on Wednesday morning, February 20, 2019 at his home after an extended illness.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Osley Elbert and Gracie Lucille Voiles Northrup; son, Dwayne Northrup; brothers, Chester Northrup and Clifford Northrup; brother-in-law, Rev. Ralph Hamby and step-son, Wilfredo Jr. Elias.

He leaves behind his wife, Valentina (Val) Northrup; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Dwayne Henry; son, Timothy Northrup; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Sam Henry, Martha and Kevin Heidel and Nancy and Curtis Jackson; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Also surviving, brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Joyce Northrup, Rev. Charles and Carolyn Northrup; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mrs. Ralph (Charlene) Hamby, Carlyn and Gary Shannon; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Clifford (Doris) Northrup, Mary Gonzales, Susan McCarthy, Julie and Joe Gonzales, Amy Preze, Raymondo and Nona Gonzales and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Jimmie was a member of Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church and before his illness, he loved to sing and he and Val visited and sang in several local churches.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 22, 2019 at Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Josh Baldwin and Bro. Troy Burchfield officiating.  Graveside service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Sunbright Cemetery in Sunbright.
