Jim Barger

Jimmie Ray Barger age 66 of Locust Grove, GA formerly of Harriman, TN passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from a 12 year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and the loving staff of Sacred Journey Hospice. He was born to Ross and Lorene Barger on March 1, 1948. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He loved his family, watching Tennessee Football and Basketball and his favorite hobby was fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents Ross Barger and Lorene Redmon, Sister: Rena Louise, Brother: Michael, Brother- in-law: Allen Jones, Sister-in-law: Helen Jones and nieces: Sherry Barger and Jennifer Jones.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kim Jones Barger

Grandson and wife: Christopher and Jazmine Wood
Brothers: Lloyd and wife Phyllis, Jerry and Jackie

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 11:00 to 1:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00PM with Bro. Dean Wright and Bro. Randall Landrum officiating. Interment will be in the Mossy Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
