Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates (Proverbs 31: 25-31). Mrs.Wilda Jean Parks was called home by her Lord and Savior Sunday, June 7th 2015 at the age of 66. "Jeana" as she was called by everyone has left us with a memory. A memory of a daughter who loved and respected her parents just as God commanded, a memory of a wife who loved, honored and cherished her husband and high school sweetheart of 18 years with all her heart, a memory of a loving mother whose three daughters could always turn to for an answer that was not always the one they wanted to hear, but one that came from wisdom, and the sincerity of her love for them, and the memory of being "Mamaw" to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. More important, she has left us with the memory of that "virtuous woman" who loved and feared God, who was a lifelong member of Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, who loved her life with her family here on earth, but looked forward to her Heavenly Home. That Home where there is no more sickness, nor sorrow, nor parting, and now she waits for us to join her one day.
