J.D. Overton

J. D. Overton, 86, passed away peacefully Monday, August 4, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a resident of Life Care Center of Morgan County and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife: Edith Brewer Overton, his parents, 4 brothers and a sister, also, by 2 Step daughters and 2 Step grandsons.

He is survived by his daughters: Teena (Robby) Stewart and Twanda Overton
Grandchildren: David (Laura) Stewart and Susan (Keith) Ringley
Great Grandchildren: Zach, Dylan and Lindsay
Stepchildren: Pat (John) Cope, Karen (Ken) Cooner, Ken (Jennifer) Brewer and Jerry Brewer
Step Grandchildren: Nathan Cooner and the joys of his life: Micah and Catherine Brewer
His roommate: Joe Walls and friends of Life Care

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00PM with Bro. Daryl Overton and Dr. Paul Frick officiating.
Interment will be in the Liberty Church Cemetery.
