James Copeland

Reverend James Harlin Copeland age 79 of Mossy Grove went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 8, 2014. James was a faithful, long-time Pastor of Caney Branch Baptist Church located on Scutcheon's Rd in Lancing, TN. He was retired from Brushy Mountain Prison after 37 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Hall Westfelt and Harlin Copeland from the Jonesville Community of Fentress County, sisters, Jo Conatser, Norma Jean Baldwin and husband Vernon,
Brother, Ricky Westfelt.

James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Atkinson Copeland,
Children, Edwina Kawamura, Gregory Copeland and wife Buffy, Bryon Copeland and wife Crystal, James "JJ" Copeland and wife Melissa.
Sisters and brothers, Lynda South, Brinda Copeland, Ray Copeland and Johnny Copeland all of Fentress County.
11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening December 10, 2014 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Tommy Baldwin and Bro. Jerry Gibson officiating.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. in the Caney Branch Church Cemetery, Lancing.
