James Branstetter


Mr. James Reed Branstetter, age 86 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Friday March 30, 2012 at home after his battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Pearlie L. and Josie Adams Branstetter, and was preceded in death by son, Roger Branstetter and three infant sons and one infant daughter, brothers: Wayne and Wallace Branstetter, sisters: Mary Ellen West and Elane Branstetter. He was born and raised in Deer Lodge, TN. He was a loving husband and father, farmer at heart and loved to go hunting and fishing. He retired from Peterson Machinery as the shop foreman. He was a member of the Walden Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife of 62 years Pearl McCartt Branstetter
Daughter and son-in-law: Teresa & Billy Bryant
Grandsons: Eric Reeves & Richard Bryant
Great Grandsons: Ethan & Aiden Reeves
Sisters: Wilma Jones of Knoxville, TN
Roselyn Lavender of Deer Lodge, TN
Anita & husband Bill Steffen of Brookfield, WI
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday April 2, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral services will be Tuesday 1 PM with Rev. Charles Whitson officiating. Interment will follow in the High Point Cemetery, Deer Lodge, TN
