James Thomas Adams, age 73 of the Chestnut Ridge Community, passed away Saturday April 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was employed by Citizens Gas in Wartburg for 33 years. He was a good strong man that would help anyone who asks. He enjoyed fishing, raising cattle, watching birds and whittling. He had many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Maggie (Branstetter) Adams, Sisters, Marie Robbins, Maxine Hall, Marybell Robbins, Myrtle Newman, Margie Davis and Minnie Lavender. Brother, Albert Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Davis) Adams,
Daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and David Sexton, Son, Curtis Adams,
Granddaughters, Megan Durham Carter and husband Josh, Amber Sexton, step-granddaughter, Mandy Sexton,
Great-granddaughter, Kennedy Carter, step-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Carter.
Sisters, Mildred Lowery, Mayvone Adkins, brother, Myrl Adams
Also several nieces, nephews, friends and his bluegrass family, Tim Coffee, Willard Miller, Jamie, Jerry and Mike Brown
The family will receive friends Monday April 22, 2013 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 6-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Durham and Bro. Roy Langley officiating.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday April 23, 11:00 a.m. in the High Point Cemetery, Deer Lodge
