Ira Van Norstran

Ira Fred VanNorstran, age 85 of Mossy Grove, passed away Saturday March 21, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Ira enjoyed farming, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. He was a 43 year member of the Emerald Lodge #377 and retired from Roane Electric after 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Estella VanNorstran
Son: Don VanNorstran
Brother: Johnny VanNorstran and sister, Dora Adams

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Joyful VanNorstran
Children: William (Sherry) VanNorstran of Wartburg, David (Pam) VanNorstran of Mossy Grove, and Rita (Brian) Wright of Mossy Grove. 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
Sisters: Lola Vincent of Mossy Grove, Lois Solock of Wartburg, Jane Cox of Oakdale, June Goad of California, a host of nieces and nephews and special friends Jim and Katie Laughter

The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00-7:00 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with son William VanNorstran officiating. A Masonic Service will be conducted by the Emerald Lodge #377. Graveside services will be held Tuesday March 24 at 11:00 at the Mossy Grove Cemetery
