Hope New

Mrs. Hope Phillips New, age 64 of Wartburg, TN passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 7, 2016 surrounded by her family. She enjoyed working in her yard with all her flowers and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hope was preceded in death by her father, Elmer White of Spring City, TN.

Hope is survived by her loving husband of 18 years Frank New; daughter, Monica Brown (Dale) of Trussville, Al; son, Shawn Phillips (Nellie) of Wartburg, TN; step-daughter, Emily Unthank (Todd) of Somerset, KY; mother, Minnie White of Oak Ridge, TN; Sisters, Wanda Taylor of Clover , SC, Kathy Ward of Wartburg, TN; brothers, Tom White( Loretta) of Crossville, TN, and Bill White ( Mary Jane) of Oak Ridge, TN; grandchildren, Justin Brown (Corin) of Ney, OH, Scottie Phillips (Kellie) of Wartburg, TN, Rusty Phillips and Kristie Phillips of Wartburg, TN; two very special great granddaughters she loved so very much, Peyton and Kennedy Phillips; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends .
Special thanks to our cousin Connie Davis-Tull for all her help, love and support and to Covenant Health Hospice for their tender loving care.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Benji Blakney officiating. Interment will be in the Union Church Cemetery, Wartburg.
