Helen McPeters

Helen Margaret Greene McPeters, 96 of Wartburg, Tennessee passed away peacefully in the presence of her children on March 13, 2013. She was a life-long resident of Wartburg, TN; born July 23, 1916 to Houk and Lillie Greene. Helen was a devoted wife to husband Vernon for 55 years and beloved mother to their eight children. Helen was of strong faith and a long-time member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved flower gardening, quilting, reading, and working cross-word puzzles. She was preceded in death by parents; Houk and Lillie Greene, Husband; Vernon McPeters, brothers; Rueben, Bruce, Johnny and Ernest, sister; Mae; son; Jim and son-in-law; Tom.

She is survived by children: Nathan, Fort Worth, TX, George and wife Marilyn, Wartburg, TN, Rod and wife Vickie, Old Hickory, TN, Iris Greer, Knoxville, TN, Steve, Oak Ridge, TN, William (Bill) and wife Georgeannne, Albany, GA, Jane and husband Tony Price, Clinton, TN and daughter-in-law Claudette McPeters, Old Hickory , TN
Grandchildren: Renee Brown, Melissa Bingham, Alan McPeters, Lynora Tidwell, Lance McPeters, Leslie Jones, Jim McPeters, Brian Greer, Emily McPeters, Nicholas Price and Laura Price
Great-granddaughters: Ashton Brown and Ella Greer

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00PM Friday March 15, 2013 at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow with Bro. Keith Price officiating. Graveside Services will be held in the Liberty Cemetery, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00AM.
