Helen McKee, formerly of Harriman, TN

Helen Headrick McKee peacefully lost her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 3,  2017.

Helen was born June 26, 1928 in Morgan County, TN to John and Lois Headrick.  After her mother passed away at an early age her father married Lummie Goldston.  She was a mother to Helen for many years.  Helen worked at the Harriman Hosiery Mill and for a short time at the Oakdale YMCA where she met the man she married, Lonnie McKee.  They made home in Oakdale, then later, Harriman and had 2 children.  While living in Harriman she was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church.  She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her children and grandchildren.  This earth has lost a sweet soul.

She is preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, her husband, Lonnie McKee, daughter, Brenda McKee, beloved sister Marie Headrick Cox (Floyd) and beloved brothers Joseph Lee Headrick (Vera) and Johnny Headrick.  She is survived by her only son Bruce McKee and daughter-in-law Kim McKee, grandson Brandon McKee, granddaughter Kristin McKee Brown (Brandon Brown), three week old great grandson Easton Maddux Brown, brother, Earl Headrick (JoAnn), only niece Vicki Headrick Mygatt (Pete), nephews Darrell Headrick (Bill Allen), Brian Headrick (Karen), Derrick Headrick (Jodie), great nieces Rebekah Mygatt Florez (Eber), Brianna Headrick, Lachelle Palmer, great nephews Jacob Mygatt (MacKenzie), Joshua Mygatt (Kelsey), David Headrick, Franklin Cheek and great, great niece Elah Lynn Florez.

A memorial service officiated by nephew Darrell Headrick, is planned for Saturday, August 5, 2017 , 12:00 at Schubert’s Funeral Home in Wartburg, TN.
