Helen Christopher of Petros

Helen Christopher of Petros passed away on June 28, 2018. She was a devoted wife and mother and was also a member of the Petros First Baptist Church and taught the ladies Sunday school class for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Poppa” Oliver; grandson, Ernie Coffman; granddaughter, Heather Morrison Chaney and son-in-law, Wayne Hall.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Christopher, Linda Christopher, David “Jake” (Debbie K) Christopher and Ruthie Hall; grandchildren, Jeremy (Denna) Coffman, Will Smith, Chris (Tessa) Morrison, Amanda Leigh (Kevin) Branch, Jessica and Elizabeth Hall; great grandchildren, Alex and Isaac Smith, Myranda (Jonathan) Chaney Hudson, Lou Chaney, Toni Jackson, Destiny, Lexi and Heather Cheyenne Morrison, Makenna Leigh Branch, Emory Rose Branch and great great grandchild, baby Hudson on the way in December; sisters, Martha Hill and Ruth Lackey and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. C.H. Christopher and Dr. Jim West officiating. Graveside will be Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Old Petros Cemetery in Petros.
