Harriett Brown, of Petros

Harriett Morine Brown (Morgan), age 84 of Petros, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.

Harriett was born on May 30, 1938 in Wartburg, TN to George & Mauline Morgan.  She was a loving wife to Richard L. Brown, Sr. and a mother of 6 children.

She is preceded in death by husband of 65 years Richard Louis Brown, Sr. (Brownie); parents George & Mauline Morgan; daughter Baby Sue Brown; sisters Sarah Riggs, Mary bunch, Mable Duncan, Ola Mae Daugherty, Mima Joe; sisters-in-law Maxine, Jyanella, Leola, Maedell Brown; 2 brotherss-in-law Ernest and Calvin Brown; 1 granddaughter Branaeleah Addison Phillps; 1 sister-in-law Beverly Morgan; 6 great great grandchildren Noah Parker, Lucy, Justine, Gabby Butler, and Jadan Phillips and Peyton Strandridge.

She is survived by her 6 children and spouses, Shirley (Vess) Hall, of Oliver Springs, James (Shirley) Brown of Petros, Richard Jr. (Shelby) Brown of Petros, Bruce (Kay) Brown of Petros, Katie Burchfield of Petros, Faith (Randy) Phillips of Petros; sisters Bonnie Duncan, Edith Cox, Violet (Alonzo) Moore of Petros, Georgie Huling of Sunbright, Beulah Carroll of Georgia; brother Ernest Morgan of Petros; brother-in-law and sister-in-law James (Barbara)Brown  of Sunbright sister-in-law Bernice Stagss of Nashville; special friends Billy & Sue Blair and family, Mike Blair and family; 21 grandchildren & spouses Marsha (Mike) Huckaby, James (Tara) Hall, Stephanie (Toby) Malone, James Jr (Daisey) Brown, Jessica Brown, Dorothy Richeson, Jason Dowdy, Williams Bradshaw, John (Christy) Brown, JJ Burchfield, Hailey (Trent) Vespie, Calvin (Iana) Brown, Brittany Phillips, Renee (John) Standridge, Christian (Ashley) Phillips, Charles (Courtney) McClure, BJ (Sunny) Brown and Shawna Brown Isiah, Abigail, Nevaeh and Isabella; 38 great grandchildren Karlie, Molly, Amie, Allison, Kyndal, Connor, Macy, Phoebe, Silvanna, Brandy, Sarah, Paul, Braydon, RJ, Neveah, Maddie, Mary Lou, McKinnley, Morgan, Cohen, Blake, Gabriel, Torri, Howard, Bryson, Laikyn, Kendall, Addilyn, John Luke, Tucker, Wynter, grandbaby soon to be, Pyper Marie Vespie; 5 great great grandchildren Jasper & Daxton, Kallie & Kaysen McClure, Junior Huckaby.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 6:00-8:00p.m.  Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the United Church of Compassion in Oliver Springs with Pastor Carol Frank and Bro. Eugene Chaney officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Burrville, Tn.
