Gordon Morrison

Mr. Gordon Raymond Morrison, age 85 of Oakdale, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday June 25, 2011. He was born to the late J.D. and Myrtle Morrison on Dec. 14, 1925.
He was a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church,
the Oakdale Lions Club and a veteran of the
United States Army serving in WWII.

Mr. Morrison was preceded in death by brother, Junior, sisters, Bertie Byrd, Leona Powers and Dorothy Bianco.

Survived by wife Wynetta Jackson Morrison
Daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Bobby Laxton of Oakdale,
Connie and Tom Humbard of Rockwood,
Cheryl and George Crabtree of Oakdale,
numerous loving grandchildren.
Sisters, Edye Douglas, Sue Bruce, Fay Pantaleo and Mary Feldberg.
Brothers, Cecil, Jack and Luke Morrison. He will be sadly missed by all, a special thanks to Rev. Brian Hines for his support at the Bridge in Rockwood.

The family will receive friends Tuesday June 28, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Crab Orchard Baptist Church, Oakdale.
Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Glenn Smith and Pastor Sunny Harvey officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
