Glen Hamby, of Wartburg

Glen Hamby age 83, of Wartburg, TN went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2018. He was a loving and kind husband of 60 years to Glena Hamby and also a loving father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Essie and Onlie Hamby; brothers, M.C., Senior and Steven Hamby; sister, Reba Langley.

He is survived by his wife, Glena Hamby; daughters, Linda (Buzz) Prater and Karen (Melvin) Harell; grandchildren, Heather (Timmy) Brummett, Benjamin (Denisse) Prater, Brian (Amy Beth) Harell, Eric Harell and fiancé’, Tori Shillingsford, Brittany Harell; great grandchildren, Avery and Parker Brummett and Amelia and Olivia Harrell; brother, Wayne (Ida Mae) Hamby and sister, Mildred Brown; special nephew, Terry Tate, and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 29, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. There will be a funeral service Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Elder Jody Risner, Elder Chuck Canaday, and Steve Greene officiating, with entombment to follow.
