Gertrude Swint

Mrs. Gertrude Hall Swint, age 96 of Wartburg passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was born Dec. 13, 1915 to Garrett and Etta Hall. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church of Goby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Archie Swint,
Son; Wendell Swint, sister; Viola Winnie, brothers; Ernest, Pleas, Fred, Albert, Alvin Hall and Riley Bill (R.B.) Hamby.
4 grandchildren; David Michael, Randell and Dennis Hamby, Ronnie Swint.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Archie Lee and wife Jean Swint, Tom and wife Vicky Swint of Wartburg, Lynn Alan and Eva Swint of Lancing, Jack and Donna Swint of Martinsville, Indiana.
Daughters and sons-in-law; Ruby and the late Arnold Hamby, Charlene and Arlie Gregg,
Lois and Jerry Hamby of Lancing, Francine and John A. Jones, Mary Davis of Wartburg,
Judy and Lawrence Griffith of Harriman, Lela and Charles Settles of Rockwood,
Daughter-in-law; Pam Swint of Lancing, brother and sister-in-law; L.A. and Mildred Hamby of Wartburg.
37 Grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, May 20, 2012 at Schubert Funeral Home from 6-9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Bro. Buster Armes and Bro. Charles Webb officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
