Georgie Dagley, of Wartburg, TN

Georgie Marie Dagley, born April 27, 1923, age 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, July 8, 2019. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Georgie Marie VanNorstran Dagley was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Dagley; and two infant children Wilma Louisee and Rex Allen.

Georgie is survived by her children:  daughter, Marie Freytag (Frank}; son, James Dagley (wife-Carmen); son, Johnny Dagley (wife-Tanuja); daughter, Pamela Keck (husband-Mark); daughter Angie Lemons (husband-Don); eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren and many friends.

Georgie was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.  She worked at Capistrano restaurant, Kellwood Shirt Factory, and Tennford Weaving where she retired in 1989.  She lived a wonderful, long life raising and loving her family.  She dedicated many years to her life-long church, Liberty Baptist Church, in Wartburg.  As well as attending regularly she worked diligently in services, revivals, Bible Schools, Sunday school, Woman’s Missionary Union director she loved to sing in the choir.  She loved gardening, canning, and raising flowers (especially Christmas Cactuses).

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. David Acres officiating. Interment to follow at Morgan Memorial Gardens in Wartburg.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be given to the Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund.
