George Gunnels, of Sunbright, TN

George W. Gunnels, age 87, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra and husband, Rick Hamby; sons, Junior and wife, Tabitha Gunnels and Jody Gunnels; sister, Lucille Huckaby; brother, Tom Gunnels; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright with the funeral to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Bro. David Dial and Jeff Chaney officiating. Interment to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Sunbright.
