Geneva Newberry

Geneva Doris Newberry of Wartburg went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2103 at the age of 81. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years: John Calvin Newberry, parents: Ed and Della Petree and sister: Ella Mae Newberry.

She is survived by daughter: Cathy Newberry McCoy
Granddaughter: Haley Laymance and husband Jesse
Great Grandchildren: Olivia and Jaxson
Several brothers and sisters, including Robert Petree, James Petree, Marcella Darnell, Mary Ruth Hendrickson and Oma Jean Raines
Many nephews and nieces

The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers, especially Jeanne Greene. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, Wartburg TN building fund or playground fund.

The family will receive friends Saturday May 25, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm with Dr. Paul Frick officiating. Graveside services will be Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 2:00pm in the Roane Memorial Gardens.
