Geneva Goodman of Wartburg, age 90, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County.  She was born October 2, 1926 in Gobey, TN.  She was a member of Annadell Baptist Church in Lancing.

She was preceeded in death by her husband of 43 years Jack “Dempsey” Goodman; parents Gideon and Callie Miller; brothers Cecil Miller, Otis Miller, John Miller, and Charles Miller; sisters Marie Miller Jones and Reba Miller; and infant great-great grandson Everett Marrison.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Billy and June Goodman of Mossy Grove and daughter and son-in-law Kathyrn and Ray Hull of Bentonville, AR.

Six grandchildren: Connie Goodman Simpson and husband Troy of Oak Ridge, Susan Goodman of Mossy Grove, Cheryl Hull Ewing and husband Don, Wayne Hull and wife Susan, Pamela Hull Nickel and husband Jay all of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Keith Hull of Gentry, Arkansas.

Thirteen great grandchildren: Heather Harris and husband David of Wartburg, Jessica Whaley of Oak Ridge, Trace McGill of Mossy Grove, and Trevor Hull, Haleigh Hull, Callie Hull, Taylor Hull, Maggie Nickel, Cade Nickel, Conor Ewing, Caleb Ewing, Colin Ewing, and Caroline Ewing, all of Bentonville, Arkansas. Three great-great grandchildren: Owen and Zoe Harris of Wartburg and Trent Marrison of Oak Ridge.

Geneva was an excellent homemaker who loved quilting, crocheting, making crafts, working in her flower garden, and cooking. Her fried apple pies and chicken and dumplings were always a special treat for her family and friends. She really enjoyed feeding and watching the bluebirds and humming birds in her back yard.

Her family would like to thank all of the staff at the Life Care Center for their very personal and compassionate care.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Ralph Nance and Bro. Joey Aytes officiating.  Graveside service will be at Wartburg Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 a.m
