Gary Phillips

Gary Lynn Phillips, age 68 of Wartburg went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 22, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Phillips.

He leaves his wife of 33 years, Kemberly Phillips and his children, Monica Brown and husband Dale, Shawn Phillips and wife Nellie, Nicole Swint and husband Justin; grandchildren, Justin Brown and wife Corin, Scottie Phillips and wife Kellie and Rusty and Kristie Phillips, Lawson and Lillie Swint; great grandchildren, Peyton and Kennedy Phillips and Chloe Huddleston; He also leaves his father, James Phillips; sister, Brenda Walker and husband Benny and brother, Larry Phillips and wife Sherry.

He worked at K-25, X-10, and Y-12 for 47 years as a Computer Supervisor and retired in 2013 to enjoy his family, farming, fishing and traveling.

Gary was a devoted Christian and Sunday School Teacher who loved the Lord and his family with all his heart and was currently attending First Baptist Church, Wartburg.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM with Pastor Benjie Blakney and Pastor Johnny Nix officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00AM in the Wartburg City Cemetery.
