Gary Adkins

Gary Nolan Adkins, age 67 of Deer Lodge passed away suddenly on January 8, 2016. Gary attended the Deer Lodge Congregational Church; he was an Army Veteran with several tours of duty in Germany.
Gary worked for many years as a lineman traveling throughout the United States. He also retired from the Morgan Co. Schools system in 2010. Gary was well-known in the Deer Lodge and Sunbright communities. He was always lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
Gary was born October 10, 1948 to Dorene and Nolan Adkins who preceded him in death and his sister, Marsha Adkins.
He is survived by the love of his life, Charlona Jones of Deer Lodge; Son, Thomas Adkins and wife Michelle and children from Louisiana; Aunt Irene Hurst and Uncle Bill Hurst of Deer Lodge; Brother, Danny Adkins and wife Patty of Monroe, MI; Sister, Shelly Holloway and husband Bobby of Spring City, TN
Also survived by special cousins who were like a brother and sister, Mike Hurst and wife Judy of Wartburg; Ann Potter and husband Mike of Huntsville, TN and many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 10, 1016 at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright from 4-6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will follow with Pastor Rose Hermonat officiating.
Graveside services will be Monday, January 11, 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Deer Lodge, TN
