Farrell Hamby

Mr. Farrell Hamby, age 66 of Lancing passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father; Sam Hamby, sister; Marilyn Sue Hamby.
He spent many years of his life working various jobs including; Burrlin Mills, Kiser Roth, Exxon Chemicals, Gulf, Western and Power Paper Mill. He was saved and baptized at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Lancing. He had a love and passion for the outdoors, which was witnessed by all who knew him. He was seen riding four wheelers ginseng hunting and spending time with family and friends up on the "creek". He took a simplistic view of life. He loved where he grew up and felt he had everything he needed at home.
He is survived by his mother; Nola Hamby of Lancing, wife; Karen W. Hamby of Lancing, sons; Matthew Sam Hamby and wife Marsha of Oakdale, Louis Nathaniel Hamby of Lancing,
Step-son; Craig Anthony Hicks of Hustonville, KY, step-daughters; Bridget Melissa Reyes of Knoxville, Leslie Michelle Cisson of Rockwood, Charlette Renae Wright Bunch of Cleveland,
Sisters; Shirley Evelyn Cole and husband Larry of Harriman, Shelia Hardin and husband Tommy of Harriman, Brothers; Phillip Hamby of Lancing, Samuel Ruben Hamby and wife Lorrie of Lancing, Creless Hamby of Lancing, Jerry Hamby and wife Lois of Lancing,
8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Elizabeth Baptist Church from 6-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will follow with Bro. Buster Armes officiating.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. in the Hamby Family Cemetery, Greasy Creek Rd. Lancing.
Schubert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
