Evlyn Hobbs

Mrs. Evlyn Rosell Hobbs, age 68, of Wartburg, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011at Methodist Medical Center. She had been a patient at Life Care Center of Morgan County for a short time.

She was a member of New Lebanon Baptist Church, New Lebanon, Ohio.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving 1962 to 1965 and a Respiratory Therapist at Grandview Hospital, Dayton, Ohio for several years. Loving mother of step-children Darlene and Jennifer Hobbs.
Evlyn was preceded in death by husband, Millard Hobbs, parents, Ulysses and Freda Leffew, brother, Randall Leffew, grandparents, Rufus and Ernie Rich and Vesta Duncan.
Evlyn is survived by sister, Edith Lovell Howard (Lancing), brother Paul Edward Leffew and wife Virginia (Knoxville), nieces Rebecca Howard (Dayton, OH), Kimberly Leffew Black and children, Michah, Brandon and Hunter (Knoxville), nephew, James Howard and wife Kathy (Lancing), great-nieces and nephews, Ashley Howard and daughter Myllian Marie (Deer Lodge), Rachel McNew and husband, Austin (Clinton), Jesse Cardwell and wife Misty and children Taylor and Tessa (Missouri).

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Roy Langley officiating.
Graveside service will be Friday at 12 noon in the Clear Creek Cemetery, Lancing.
