Evelyn Shannon

Evelyn Delora (Duncan) Shannon age 82 of the Mossy Grove/Petite Lane area, peacefully passed away on November 30, 2015. Evelyn was born February 5, 1933 to Levi and Emily Duncan of Frost Bottom Oliver Springs, TN
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters,1 brother and granddaughter Levi Marie Shannon
Evelyn was an avid hunter for many years alongside her husband John and was the first woman in Morgan County to receive her big game stamp. On weekends, Evelyn and John would load up supplies and head out for their campsite " The Summers Place" near Catoosa to hunt and enjoy family and friends who happened by.
Evelyn leaves behind two sons, Ray (Brenda) of Wartburg, Rodger (Judy) of Knoxville,
Grandchildren, Crystal (Jason) Hamby, Rodger Shannon, Julie Shannon, Todd Henry, Tamekka Henry, Johnny Ray (Tasha) Shannon.
Great-grandchildren, Alex, Ivin, Silas, Karsten, Nevaeh Grace, Reece, Adrianna and Natalie.
Great-great-grandson, Jaxson Logan Harris.
Sisters, Beulah, Loretta, Vina, Brothers, Ervin and Robert .
Also a host of nieces, nephews and friends, and a faithful friend, Nancy Ward.
The family will receive friends Wednesday December 2 from 12-2:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg .
Funeral will follow with Bro. John Bell officiating, burial will be in Morgan Memorial Gardens. Wartburg, TN
