Ethelene Phillips

Ethelene Phillips, age 88, of Wartburg passed away October 18. 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Ethelene loved crocheting, quilting, gardening, reading, her flowers, watching the birds and loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert & Meady Harris; infant daughter Joyce Ann; great grandson Wyatt Potter; 2 sisters Shelby Griffith and Hallie Conner; and brother John Harris; son-in-law Arvil Brandenburg. 

She leaves behind to mourn her passing her children Cindy Phillips, Glenna Brandenburg, Doug (Arlene) Phillips, Crystal (Jody) Jones, and Susan (Joel) Scarbrough; sister Betty Bunch; brother-in-law Freddy Griffith; and a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; special friend Sarah Gendreau and a special “thank you” to Quality Hospice nurses sand staff. .

The family will receive friends Monday, October 21, 2024 at Schubert Funeral Home 11:00-1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the New Petros Cemetery in Petros.
