Ethel "Mary" Armes

Ethel Beatrice Armes (lovingly known as Mary Armes), age 76 of Lancing, went home to be with the Lord on August 15th, 2020. Mary was a devoted Christian that had a strong and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose dedication to family and steadfast hope in Christ was evident to all who knew her. Her family and friends have no doubt and take comfort knowing that Heaven gained an angel, and that she was reunited with her beloved husband, Robert.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Flossie Perry; husband of 47 years, Robert Armes; daughter, Teresa Armes; and granddaughter, Adina Jackson.

She is survived by her children: Michelle Guymon, Angela Shelley, Robbie (Holly) Armes, and Sonya (Carley) Young; grandchildren: Stephanie (Brett) Mashburn, Jessie (Daisy) Shelley, Carrie Shelley, Hannah and Erin Armes, Jahayla Armes, and Mallory Young; great-grandchildren: Drake, Lucius, and Zoe Mashburn, Tyler and Jacinda Childers, Annabelle, Christabella and Elijah Shelley, Landon and Cooper Eidschun, LeeLynn and Kaleb Johnson, and Brandon, Joseph, and Brittany Young; along with many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Wednesday August 19th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow. The graveside service will be Thursday August 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Covington Cemetery in Wartburg, TN.
