Estel Phillips, of Wartburg, TN

Estel Phillips of Wartburg, TN passed away October 16, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Devonia and also worked for Norfolk Southern Railway for 34 years. He loved traveling and sharing Gods love through song with his family and he  also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, reading his bible and visiting with his friends at Hardee’s.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Phillips; parents, Dewey and Bessie Phillips; sisters, Omer West, Edna West and Hazel Bunch; brother, Elmer Phillips; granddaughter, Grace Morgan Phillips and daughter-in-law, Kathy Phillips.

He is survived by his children, Danny (Lesley) Phillips, Lester Phillips and Anita Daugherty all of Wartburg; Brother,  Oscar Phillips of Wartburg;  grandchildren, Vicky (Alan) Boyd of Sweetwater, Scott Phillips of Wartburg, Brian (Alana) of Rockwood, John (Renata) Fair of Las Vegas, Mike (Kristen) Phillips of Casa Grande, AZ., Philip and Justin Daugherty of Kingston and Trey Daugherty of Knoxville; 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Lee Phillips and Bro. Jim Disney officiating. Graveside will be Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton.
