Emma Ruth Hobbs Bradley, of Wartburg, TN

Emma Ruth Hobbs Bradley age 86, of Wartburg was known by most as Kate, by a few as Momma, by some as Granny and by one as Great Grandma, passed away July 29, 2019 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.  Preceded in death by her parents:  Samuel M. and Gladys Murray Hobbs

She raised her family in a bustling household in Petros, TN that was open to a great many people working to make her community a better, safer and healthier place to live.  Kate raised money for countless causes like helping build 2 local churches, the Petros Health Clinic that provided unprecedented local access to health care and for more personal causes like helping her grandson travel to Israel. She worked harder volunteering than many do at their day jobs.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, J. W. Bradley

3 children:  Connie Bradley, Chip Bradley and Faith Wayland.

1 son-in-law Teddy Wayland

Grandchildren:  Trevor Loy, Taylor Loy & wife Rebecca, Harley Wayland and Cassidy Wayland.

1 great-grandson:  Evan Loy
1 Brother and 1 Sister
Also several special Nieces and Nephews

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2019, from 5-7 pm Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.  Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Bro. Bob Hubbard and Dr. Don Long officiating.  Graveside services will be Friday, 11 am Petros Cemetery
