Elvin Godsey, of Oakdale, TN

Elvin “B” Godsey passed on to his heavenly home September 15, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center. He was 79 years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.O. Bradley and Nellie Godby Godsey; brothers Herbert, J.C., Albert and Charles;  half brothers, Bill, James, Clyde and Arthur; 13 nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He also left behind special friends, Bill West, Teresita Algya and Terry and Tammy Grayson.

Mr. Godsey retired from the Morgan County School System. He enjoyed gardening, beekeeping, fishing and caring for cattle.

The family will have a graveside service and burial Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Piney Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakdale with Rev. Brett Palotta officiating.
