Elaine Hunter

Mrs. Carrie Elaine Hunter of Petros, TN passed away unexpectedly at her home in Petros, Sunday evening, May 1, 2016. Elaine was born December 30, 1949 in the Petros community to Anna Ruth and Raymond Hunter. She attended the Petros Fellowship Church of God. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Ruth Hunter and father, Raymond Hunter both of Petros, TN; step-father, Joe Buttrum, of Petros and her sister, Judy Gassaway of Coalfield, TN.

She is survived by her loving husband, J.R. Hunter, Petros, TN; her daughter, Pascha Cathey and husband Tony, Petros, TN; sons, Justin Hunter and wife Carey, Joyner, TN, Chad Hunter and wife Audrey, Petros, TN; grandchildren, Anna Cathey and Cari Cathey, Petros, TN, Ethan Hunter and Krey Hunter, Joyner, TN; brothers, Danny Hunter, Coalfield, TN and Reece Hunter, Petros, TN; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; 2 special little angels; Hunter and Haven and her dear friends, Christine Shirks and Wilma Brown both of Petros, TN.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 7:00PM with Bro. Tony Cathey and Bro. Tre Pack officiating. Graveside services will take place Friday at 11:00AM in the Petros Cemetery, Petros, TN.
