Efton Decker of Wartburg, TN

Efton Ray Decker 78, of Wartburg, went home to be with the Lord and Savior Monday, July 31, 2017 at his home in Wartburg. He was born July 3, 1939 in Joliet, Illinois. He has been a resident of Wartburg since 1993. Prior to moving to Tennessee Efton lived in Joliet, Illinois and retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was a member and Deacon of Oak Grove Church in Lancing, TN. He lived his life with a determination to make Heaven his home. He finished his race and won.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Verta Decker and Mary Aliene Decker; brother, Eugene Decker.

Efton is survived by his wife of 59 years, Justine (Potter) Decker of Wartburg; sons, Rick Decker of Port St. Lucie, FL and Greg (Tonya Hamby) Decker of Wartburg; grandchildren, Allison (Marty) Garcia of Okeechobee, FL., Felicia Decker of Knoxville, TN., Darren Decker and Aaron Decker of Wartburg, TN., 2 great grandchildren, Madison and Peyton Garcia of Okeechobee, FL.; brother, Ronnie (Janet Nichols) Decker of Shelby, NC.; niece, Tina (Willie) McNure of Shelby, NC., and many loving cousins and a loving church family.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 4, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Mark Langley, Bro. Rick Taylor and Bro. Jim Dunlap officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Frankfort Community Cemetery.
