Edith Wallace

Edith Wallace, 87, of LaFollette, born November 11, 1924, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012. She was a member of Red Ash Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by husband Edward "Snake" Wallace, daughter Imogene Hamby, parents Louis and Lizzie Burress, and brother Willie Burress.

Survived by sons Harold and wife Gail, Jerry and wife Joyce, Arnold and wife Rhonda all from Cleveland, Luther and wife Burma, Jimmy and Steve all from LaFollette. Daughters Maxine Clouse and husband Ray of Jacksboro, Wilma Gibson of Pioneer, Joyce Walker of Clinton and Brenda McBee of Cleveland. Sister Ruth Wright and brother Herbert Burress from Clinton. 28 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 8 from 6-8 p.m. with funeral to follow at 8 p.m at Cross-Smith Funeral Home in LaFollette. Family will meet at funeral home on Monday, July 9 at 12:00 p.m. and proceed for burial at Red Hill Cemetery in Andersonville.
