Doris Chaney

Doris Willimae Chaney was born in Hamilton, Alabama on December 7, 1928 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 23, 2013 surrounded by her family at her home in Petros, Tennessee. The Church of God was her chosen Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Troy J. Chaney Sr., Parents: Larry and Callie Mae Nichols, Grandson: Billy Jack Chaney, Sister: Almarie Swanger and Daughter-in-law: Theresa L. Chaney.

She leaves behind 5 Children: Larry Andrew Chaney of Harriman, Troy J. Chaney Jr. and wife Betty of Oliver Springs, Eugene Chaney and wife Brenda of Oak Ridge, Rita Justice and husband Thomas of Petros and Shelby Brown and husband Ricky of Petros
13 Grandchildren, 8 Step Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren

Many nieces and nephews

She loved to watch the hummingbirds, see the flowers, be with her children, and serve her Lord Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 26, from 6:00-9:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, at 1 PM at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with Bro. Eugene Chaney and Bro. Frankie Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at the Petros Cemetery
