What a glorious day! On September 2nd, 2024, Don Putz, age 77 of Wartburg, was reunited with his wife, Helen and saw his Savior face to face. The words of his favorite song became reality “where forever he will be with the one who died for him, what a day, glorious day that will be”. Don was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Don served his country in the United States Air Force in Viet Nam refueling fighter jets. Through the years, he taught drafting and was a guard at the prison. He enjoyed spending time with family, going to church, playing jokes on people and eating ice cream.
Don was preceded in death by his wife Helen and his mother Beatrice Patrick.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Putz, his sister Sandee (Brian) Collins, his aunt Margie Gibson, Brothers in law Leslie (Diane), Stanley (Cathy) and Wayne (Pam) Woods; sisters in law Charlene Hall, Gail Walker, Barbara Hall, Gail Woods and a host of nieces and nephews.
