Donald Ellis

Mr. Donald Joe Ellis, age 73, of Lancing, TN passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.
He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church of Lancing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Frances Ellis, parents, Burl Ellis and Laura Kennedy Ellis, brother, Gordon Ellis, and step-mother, Ethel Ellis.

He is survived by his six children, sons, Donald F. Ellis and Tammy Cady,of Chattanooga, TN, Ronald Ellis and wife, Gina of Coalfield, TN, four daughters, Priscilla Fann and husband Philip of Joyner, TN, Tammula Griffith and Jimmy Duncan of Robbins, TN, Marcella Pugin and husband, John of Virginia, and Laura Ledford and husband, Michael of Lancing, TN, grandchildren, Amanda Hill, Joseph and Olivia Ellis, all of Coalfield, TN, Christopher and wife, Rhonda Watson, Jacqueline and husband, Jeremy Coffey, Nicholas Watson and Chance Melton, all of Lancing, TN, Alexander Watson and wife, Kayla of Rockwood, Eric Griffith and wife, Robyn, and Trevor Griffith, all of Robbins, TN, Heather Massengale and husband, T.J. of Lancing, TN, Andy Melton of Boise, Idaho, and Mitchell and Allyson Ledford of Lancing, TN, step-grandchild, Christopher Fann of Kingsport,TN, fourteen great-grandchildren, and sisters, Ollie Hamby, Burlene Landrum and husband, Robert, Betty Ann Hamby, Barbara Langley and husband, Richard, sister-in-law Eva Ellis, all of Lancing, TN, and Ronnie Fairchilds, a very special friend. He is also survived by his loving pets, "Mitzy" and "Duke" and Ms. Kitty.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 13, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Buster Armes and Bro. Bret Pallotta officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Morgan Memorial Gardens, Wartburg.
